Paolo Domeniconi was born in Italy in 1965.
After studying art, he worked for several years for an advertising agency. He started to work as freelance illustrator in 1992. First, he worked with many advertising agencies for print campaigns and communication.
Later, he was interested in the world of children’s illustration, attended the specialization courses of Sarmede and Macerata. He did illustrate children's books for many publishers including Sinnos Editrice, EDT, La Coccinella, Arnoldo Mondadori, Pearson Italia, Deagostini, Coccole e Caccole, Franco Cosimo Panini, Agaworld.
He received the Special Mention of “Premio delle Palme 2009” Città di San Vito dei Normanni. In 2010, he participated in the project “Disognamo” getting the Special Children’s Jury Prize and he was selected for the illustrators exhibition of “Premio Cento” 2010.
Paolo Domeniconi works mainly in digital media.
Paolo currently lives and works in Spilamberto (Modena, Italy).
